PhD thesis defended with excellence within iFermenter!

On Friday Feb. 25, Dominik Weixler, PhD student of our partners at Ulm University and first author of our recent milestone paper on production of prenisin using Corynebacterium glutamicum, successfully defended his PhD thesis with „summa cum laude“. Dominik’s PhD project went off with a difficult start. But hard work, dedication and his thrive for perfection paid off in the end. So far, Dominik is first or coauthor on four manuscripts published as part of iFermenter and is coauthor on four other papers. The iFermenter consortium congratulates Dominik for this outstanding achievement.
